Weight Management

         

 The other day I was telling my daughter not to feed French Fries to the dog,” they are not good for him”… while I was putting another one into my mouth??!!

          I have found that Weight Loss has a lot to do with how you feel about yourself. Remember looking in the mirror first thing in the morning: hair a mess, eyes swollen, skin blotchy, and the rest…!!!  That is enough to leave anyone feeling downgraded, tired, depressed and unhappy.  After all, even the dog gets better care, the spouse, the kids, and the car.  How about you???
 

           So you get depressed and give up, smoke, drink, take drugs, eat… first to take the edge off… after that, as with all drugs, you need more and more; that is plainly called ADDICTION.
 

          The food addiction is so much harder to beat because we all need to eat to live. Junk food is everywhere and constantly tantalizing us when we need a “quick fix” and when we haven’t the time to eat a sensible meal.  So where do you start?
 

        Weight Loss starts at the core, not  popping pills and dieting, but liking yourself too; body, mind, and soul.  This body is yours for life, not like a car, that may last 10 years or so.
 

          Weight loss and feeling better about yourself takes commitment and a certain amount of patience.  After all, you did not wake up one morning to discover that you needed to do something.  Improving yourself and your wellbeing can be a joyful experience, if you make it that way!!!
 

          So next time you look into the mirror, concentrate on the things that you LIKE about yourself and then call me. Together we will work on changing the rest of you from someone you don’t particularly care for, into the wonderful person you are meant to be.
